Debata „Medijsko-informaciona pismenost i interkulturalni dijalog“

Povodom obilježavanja Nedjelje medijske i informacione pismenosti, na Fakultetu političkih nauka Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci održaće se debata „Medijsko-informaciona pismenost i interkulturalni dijalog“ 24. oktobra 2019. godine u 10.00 časova u svečanoj sali 201.

Cilj debate je da upozna studente sa ključnim kompetencijama za cjeloživotno učenje, osnovnim vještinama medijske i informacione pismenosti uz pomoć kojih mogu da se informišu, angažuju i učestvuju. Aspekt interkulturalnog dijaloga skrenuće im pažnju na govor mržnje, isključivanje, dezinformacije i ukazati na značaj promovisanja interkulturalnog dijaloga kroz slobodne, nezavisne i pluralističke medije koji mogu da povećaju svijest o različitostima i obogate našu predstavu o svijetu oko nas i na taj način poboljšaju naše razumijevanje drugih, kao i nas samih.

Panel discussion entitled ‘Media and information literacy and intercultural dialogue’

On the occasion of marking the Media and Information Literacy Week at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), a panel discussion entitled ‘Media and information literacy and intercultural dialogue’ is organised on 24 October 2019 at 10 AM (venue: Conference hall 201).

The panel discussion aims at introducing students with key competences necessary for life-long learning and with basic skills of media and information literacy that can help them keep being informed on, engaged with, and involved in social life. With regard to this, the aspect of intercultural dialogue is going to draw their attention to hate speech and avoiding disinformation, and to point to the significance of promoting intercultural dialogue through free, independent, and plural media that can increase our awareness of social diversity and broaden our views on the world around us, thus enabling us to better understand both others and ourselves.
