Organisational chart

The Faculty of Political Sciences, as an organisational unit of the University of Banja Luka, consists of four study programmes (Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, and Journalism and Communication Studies) as sub-organisational units, with the Institute for Social Research of the same status. Each of these sub-organisational units forms its respective council that makes decisions and formulates proposals within its legal and statutary competences. All legal, human resources, accounting, publishing, administrative, technical, and other affairs are executed by the respective administrative services of the Faculty, coordinated by the Secretary of the Faculty. The management of the faculty consists of the dean, vice-deans for Education and Research and Publishing Affairs, councils of respective study programmes, Teaching Staff Council of the Faculty, and the Board of the Faculty, which has an advisory role.

As far as the students of the Faculty are concerned, they are assembled into three organisations: Students’ Organisation of the Faculty, Students’ Club of the Faculty, and Union of Social Work Students. In addition to this, in 2017 the Faculty saw the establishment of a debate club, through which students are offered an opportunity to improve and master their skills in the culture of dialogue and rhetoric. Finally, the building provides all the necessary conditions for a modern-age educational concept and is fully adjusted to the needs of disabled persons.
