At the very beginning of writing this feedback (it was 2 months ago, by the way), I was so excited right after my returning from my exchange program and wanted to highlight all the small but heartwarming details of that experience. After that, I found myself at the point when feedback was more similar to my diary, not to formal report. I want it to be neither. That\u2019s why I started this one. Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First of all, I\u2019d like to express all my gratitude to University of Banja-Luka, especially to the Faculty of Political Science and the Economics Faculty, for giving me the opportunity to experience the most exciting and unforgettable adventure of my whole life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Studying was not the same as I expected it to be. The main reason is that lectures were not in English, which at first scared me. \u201cHow am I supposed to study all my disciplines?\u201d \u2013 I had been asking myself during the first month there, when nothing was clear and similar to what I was used to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fortunately, as it usually happens in life, the stage of doubts and disappointment transitioned to the stage of new discovers and happiness. My courses were taught in English as some individual lessons and at the same time I had some practical classes with my group. During those practical classes I realized that education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the same as in Russia. The student and teacher are on equal footing, and discipline is maintained by the student\u2019s own choice. In my opinion, this approach is perfect for students who are self-reliant and interested in learning. In addition, it gave me some great opportunities to get new knowledge outside the program. I would like to express my special gratitude to Andrea Puhalic and Bobana Cegar for their professional interest, the endless love for their field and opening new prospects for me in studies and career. I especially want to express my gratitude to the mentors from the Faculty of Political Sciences \u2013 Branko Crnogorac and Andrea Rakanovic Radonjic. Thanks to their responsible approach to organizing mobility and the warm welcome, adaptation and learning were a joy for me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondly, I\u2019d like to express all my feelings towards living in Banja Luka. It was UNFORGETTABLE! Culture is unique and similar to Russian in some aspects that really helped me during my adaptation period. People are kind and open-minded \u2013 I would ask someone for a coffee and this person with 101% certainty came! I found friends with who I am looking forward to staying in touch. I visited 5 different cities all over the country and gained a lot of new knowledge about fascinating culture and complicated, difficult but exciting history! And cuisine\u2026I\u2019ll never ever forget Balkan food! Especially homemade)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conclusion, I’d like to say that on the university’s side, the accommodation and education process were organized to a very high standard. Even the learning schedule was flexible and left room for short trips and meetings with new people. For exchange students, it is the perfect opportunity not only to learn new things about their specialization but also to explore life in all its diversity. This university gave an excellent starting point for immersion not only in education, but also in life.
