Developing professional competences of social workers in realisation of their professional roles, purposes, and methodology;<\/p><p>2. Equipping students with the necessary tools for a creative and innovative approach in selection and application of methods of work\u00a0 in order for their professional goals to be accomplish, with regard to the challenges identified;<\/p><p>3. Providing training in research activities, with a view to improving theory and practice of social work;<\/p><p>4. Building foundation for further pursuit of academic knowledge and skills.<\/p><p><strong>MODEL OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME<\/strong><\/p><p>The Study Programmes offers a 4+1+3 design of the three cycles of academic studies.<\/p><p><strong>SCIENTIFIC FIELD OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME<\/strong><\/p><p>The second-cycle academic studies of Social Work are positioned within the domain of Social Science and in the scientific field of Social Work. The narrow scientific fields covered by these studies are as follows: Social Policy, Theory and Methodology of Social Work and the field of Social Work.<\/p><p><strong>TYPE OF STUDIES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES<\/strong><\/p><p>Type of studies:\u00a0<strong>Graduate academic studies<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Learning outcomes:<\/strong><\/p><p>Acquisition of elaborated specific methodological approaches, which are relevant for competent performance of social work practice; Ability to make a selection of methods to accomplish the goals of social work; Ability to perform professional counselling and therapeutic procedures; Knowledge necesary for conducting operative research in social work.<\/p><p>Specific learning outcomes are defined within the scope of each mandatory and elective teaching subject.<\/p><p><strong>ACADEMIC TITLE<\/strong><\/p><p>According to the Decision on Usage and Acquisition of Academic Titles of the Government of the Republic of Srpska (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, issue 111\/09), of 16 December 2009,\u00a0 the following titles are obtained upon finishing the second-cycle academic studies at the Study Programme of Political SCIENTIFIC FIELD OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME The second-cycle academic studies of Social Work are positioned within the domain of Social Science and in the scientific field of Social Work. The narrow scientific fields covered by these studies are as follows: Social Policy, Theory and Methodology of Social Work and the field of Social Work. TYPE OF STUDIES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Type of studies:\u00a0Graduate academic studies Learning outcomes: Acquisition of elaborated specific methodological approaches, which are relevant for competent performance of social work practice; Ability to make a selection of methods to accomplish the goals of social work; Ability to perform professional counselling and therapeutic procedures; Knowledge necesary for conducting operative research in social work. Specific learning outcomes are defined within the scope of each mandatory and elective teaching subject. ACADEMIC TITLE According to the Decision on Usage and Acquisition of Academic Titles of the Government of the Republic of Srpska (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, issue 111\/09), of 16 December 2009,\u00a0 the following titles are obtained upon finishing the second-cycle academic studies at the Study Programme of Political Science: MA in Social Work\u2013 upon completion of second-cycle academic studies.
